Creality Ender 3 Max Bondtech LGX Lite + Mosquito Magnum Hot End Kit
The Creality Ender 3 Max 3D printer is a platform that has a large build volume. However, the standard equipment extruder and hot end could use a lot of improvement to allow the printer to utilize this large build volume quickly and efficiently.
The Creality hot end is not capable of large volumetric flow and cannot compare to aftermarket upgrades such as the Slice Engineering Mosquito Magnum.
Based on my volumetric flow rate tests and my practical experience with this hot end and extruder, the Mosquito Magnum can deliver more than 30mm^3/s ! This can more than halve your printing time.
Therefore if you want to get the most out of your Ender 3 Max and run higher print speeds or larger nozzles, the investment into a higher flow hot end will easily pay for itself in time saved.
The transition from Bowden tube to direct drive (Bondtech LGX Lite) will also increase your filament control by eliminating the 'spring' inherent with a Bowden tube setup. I have noticed much less stringing and oozing when printing in PETG.
This upgrade kit includes all of the 3D printed parts necessary to fit the Bondtech LGX lite and Slice Engineering Mosquito Magnum hot end plus the additional hardware necessary. All parts are printed in carbon fiber PETG material.
What is included in the kit:
- LGX Lite Mount
- Mosquito Magnum Mount
- Fan Guard
- Part Cooling Fan Shroud
- Optional: CR Touch Bracket
Note: You can optionally add a bracket to attach a CR Touch module to the carriage. It is not necessary for this install but will allow you use the autobed levelling feature of this machine. Add the bracket in the product options. YOU MUST USE MY BRACKET WITH THIS KIT. THE STANDARD CR TOUCH / BL TOUCH BRACKET WILL RESULT IN AN IMPROPER PROBE OFFSET.
