Convert your Craftsman "Bucket Vacuum" to a fume extractor system for your light duty laser cutter and engraver.

This kit is compatible with the Craftsman 5 gallon "bucket" vacuum, part number CMXEVBE17678. This unique and inexpensive vacuum fits onto the top of a standard 5 gallon bucket / pail. See the link at the bottom of the listing to find the exact model.

It should (but not guaranteed to) also fit a similar style vacuum as different companies often use the same manufacturer and rebrand their products. See bottom of this listing for other possible model(s). This modification is fully reversible to return your vacuum back into a regular shop vacuum when not being used as a fume extractor.

Some shop vacuum cleaners offer paper cartridge filters that can be purchased separately from the vacuum unit. However, these paper filters do not filter particles as fine as a proper HEPA filter. Additionally, they do not offer any odor absorption and their availability is often scarce due to their limited use.

This conversion kit will allow you to use a cartridge filter from a popular air purifier system. These readily available replacement filters use both HEPA and activated carbon to filter particles and odors from your laser cutter / engraver. You can simply use paper towels or the the pre-filter included with the Craftsman vacuum as a pre-filter material to prevent clogging of the HEPA filter and extend its life as seen in the video above. Optionally, you can add extra carbon layers inside to absorb even more odor if necessary.

As an optional add-on you can select to include the adapter to fit the recommended CPAP hose to your Craftsman vacuum inlet. The other end of the CPAP hose would connect to the fume extractor nozzle on your laser module (see my other listings for extractor nozzles specific to certain laser engraving/cutting machines).

You can exhaust the outlet to open air or use an adapter to attach different diameter hoses to the vacuum outlet and route the exhaust elsewhere. Click here for exhaust adapters.

Cut to Fit Carbon Filter (for extra odor absorption)

Craftsman CMXEVBE17678 (the vacuum itself)

There is another bucket style vacuum from the brand "Bucket Head" which looks identical in almost every regard which leads me to believe this listing is very likely compatible (but not guaranteed).
